Live music night featuring Dead Week, Padlock, Psychedelic Maggot Engine, The Paisleys and lexi at Craft & Growler.
Dead Week head up a five-band bill at Craft & Growler on Friday, October 9, with Padlock, Psychedelic Maggot Engine, The Paisleys, and lexi filling out the rest of the night. The show is part of Psychedelic Maggot Engine's 2026 fall tour, and the whole thing is happening at 3601 Parry Ave in Dallas.
Psychedelic Maggot Engine comes from Houston Heights, and they describe their sound as moving across rock, shoegaze, experimental alternative, and indie. That's a fair bit of ground to cover in one set, and the shoegaze side of things usually means a lot of noise and texture, so it's a good idea to get there early and find a spot you're happy with.
Lexi is also Houston-based, working in alt rock and alt metal. She describes her sound as blending the grit of '90s alternative and metal with dark guitars, raw vocals, and cinematic storytelling. Before this, she put out singles like "soulless sam," "corpsebride," "succubus," and "i'm yours, forevermore," and she's now touring her debut album, HERE LIES THE LONE STAR, a concept record about loneliness, identity, loss, religion, and rebirth. That's the record she'll be bringing to the stage.
