International women's soccer friendly between Dallas Trinity FC and Chivas Femenil at the Cotton Bowl, with same-day admission to the State Fair of Texas.
Dallas Trinity FC takes on Chivas Femenil at the Cotton Bowl Stadium on Saturday, October 17, at 4 PM. It's the return of the State Fair Clásico, an international friendly played right in the middle of the State Fair of Texas, under Big Tex's watchful eyes. The inaugural 2025 match drew 22,838 fans, a record for the largest crowd at a professional women's sporting event in Texas, so this one has some history behind it already.
Chivas Femenil comes in from Guadalajara as part of Club Deportivo Guadalajara, founded in 1906 and famous for fielding only Mexican players. They've won two league titles and the 2022 Campeón de Campeones, and they play their home games at Estadio AKRON, which is a 2026 FIFA World Cup venue. Dallas Trinity FC is in its third season, the first professional women's soccer club in Dallas, competing in the Gainbridge Super League. That league is operated by USL Dallas, LLC, which also runs Atlético Dallas, the city's newest professional men's side, set to start playing in the USL Championship in 2027.

There's a bit of a fairground twist to the ticket: each one includes same-day admission to the State Fair of Texas, which runs from September 25 to October 18. So you can make a full day of it—the fair, the game, and whatever else you want to do around Fair Park. The match kicks off at 4 PM on Saturday, October 17, at the Cotton Bowl.
