Dallas Mavericks home game against the Indiana Pacers at the American Airlines Center.
The Dallas Mavericks take on the Indiana Pacers at the American Airlines Center on Monday, November 9, at 7 PM. It's a home game in the heart of the city, part of the 2026-27 regular season.
If you've followed the team for a while, you know the history that built this. The Mavericks joined the NBA as an expansion franchise in the 1980-81 season, the league's third team in Texas alongside the San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets. Mark Aguirre was the franchise's first All-Star and led them to their first playoff series in 1983-84. The arrival of Dirk Nowitzki in 1998 sparked a twelve-year playoff streak that culminated in the 2011 NBA Finals, when Dallas defeated the Miami Heat to win the franchise's only championship; Nowitzki retired in 2019. The team has played at the American Airlines Center since it opened in 2001, sharing it with the NHL's Dallas Stars.
