Hardcore punk band Comeback Kid performs live at Puzzles Deep Ellum in Dallas, with support from Slow Pulse, Dead Heat and Fear of Loss.
Comeback Kid are playing Puzzles Deep Ellum on Sunday, November 8, with Slow Pulse, Dead Heat, and Fear of Loss opening for them. It's a four-band bill, so you'll be in there well before the headliner takes the stage.
If you're not familiar with them, Comeback Kid started in Winnipeg, Canada, back in 2000. They came out of the city's underground scene, and vocalist Andrew Neufeld has pointed to '90s skate punk and more melodic acts as influences. Their 2003 debut, Turn It Around, made them a staple of the hardcore community, and they followed it up with Wake The Dead in 2005 and Broadcasting... in 2007. That last one came after founding vocalist Scott Wade left and Neufeld took over front duties.
Since then, they've put out a live CD/DVD, Through The Noise, in 2008 and the album Symptoms + Cures on August 31, 2010. The current lineup has Neufeld on vocals, founding members Kyle Profeta on drums and Jeremy Hiebert on guitar, plus Casey Hjelmberg on guitar and Matt Keil on bass.
