Concert by the folk and punk protest singer-songwriter Carsie Blanton, supported by The Burning Hell, at the AM/FM venue in Dallas.
Carsie Blanton plays AM/FM on Thursday, June 3, 2027, with The Burning Hell opening. Blanton is a songwriter from Luray, Virginia, and her catalog runs from folk and swing to pop-punk protest anthems, held together by humor, political wit and a punk-rock spirit. She describes her work as "open-hearted protest" music and draws from artist-activists like Nina Simone and Woody Guthrie.
She's spent more than fifteen years on the road and released two albums in 2024: After the Revolution, produced by Grammy winner Tyler Chester, and The Red Album, an acoustic EP of protest songs. In 2026, she co-won the International Folk Music Awards Artist of the Year. Along the way, she's built a following and a string of viral hits, including "Little Flame," "Rich People," "Ugly Nasty Commie Bitch" and "Fishin' With You."
Blanton is known for a fiercely independent streak and a "pay what you please" approach to her work. The set will draw from that wide range—the folk, the swing, and the pop-punk—and the new material from both After the Revolution and The Red Album should be right in there. The Burning Hell opens the night.
