Concert by the indie rock band Bright Eyes, featuring their album 'Lullaby for the Working Class', at The Studio at the Factory.
Bright Eyes play The Studio at the Factory on Friday, October 16, with Lullaby for the Working Class opening. It's the main project of singer-songwriter and guitarist Conor Oberst, and the show follows his 2024 album Five Dice, All Threes and the EP Kids Table, both released on Dead Oceans.
The two records came from the same recording sessions at ARC Studios in Omaha, Nebraska. Kids Table takes its name from a board-game-inspired cover that inscribes landmark life moments on the board, and the tour draws from that same body of work. On stage, Bright Eyes is more than just Oberst; it includes multi-instrumentalist and producer Mike Mogis and keyboardist Nate Walcott, along with a rotating lineup of collaborators drawn mostly from the Omaha indie music scene. That connection to Nebraska has been a constant for the project, and it's a good way to think about the band: Oberst at the center, Mogis and Walcott as the core, and a wider circle of Omaha musicians filling out the sound.
