A free, family-friendly blues music festival honouring T-Bone Walker with live performances, a vendor market and food trucks.
Blues in the Bottom returns to Eloise Lundy Park on Saturday, May 29, 2027, from 1 PM to 4 PM. It's a free, family-friendly blues festival that happens every year over Memorial Day weekend, presented by the AT&T Performing Arts Center through ArtsBridge, its community arts program.
The whole day is built as a celebration and homage to T-Bone Walker, the famed blues guitarist who grew up in the Tenth Street Historic District. The music reflects that, with live performances that run from modern blues to the traditional style Walker helped shape. It's not just about the stage, either: the afternoon brings together a local vendor market, food trucks, and a community-created mural, all of which draw on the history and culture of The Bottom and the neighboring Tenth Street Historic District.
That connection to the neighborhood is part of the bigger picture. Blues in the Bottom is one of several free public events the AT&T Performing Arts Center puts on, with its outpost editions in West Dallas and Oak Cliff delivered through ArtsBridge. This one lands in Oak Cliff, at Eloise Lundy Park, 1200 Sabine St., Dallas, TX 75203.
