Big Ass Truck I.E.

Big Ass Truck I.E. plays Three Links Deep Ellum on Wednesday, November 18, with special guests Chamber, Mugshot and LIE! The bill brings together a Memphis psychedelic funk band and a couple of heavy hitters from the hardcore and metalcore scenes, so it's a bit of a mix on one night.

Big Ass Truck is a Memphis psychedelic funk band formed in the mid-1990s by Steve Selvidge and Robert Barnett. They debuted in 1995 and toured the South with 311, releasing the Sack Lunch EP in 1997, Who Let You in Here in 1998, and The Rug in 2001. That's the core of their early run—three records from the late nineties and early two-thousands that set their sound.

Rounding out the bill are Mugshot and Chamber. Mugshot is a San Jose metalcore and deathcore band that formed in 2014. Chamber is a Nashville hardcore and metalcore outfit that started in 2017, and they describe their sound as a mix of mathcore and metallic hardcore. Between the two, you've got the deathcore side and the mathcore side of the heavier end of the night. LIE! also joins the lineup.

It's an all-ages show, general admission with standing room only. If you're under 21, there's a $5 cover and you'll need a physical government-issued ID. Tickets are $28.61, and the show starts at 6:30 PM at Three Links Deep Ellum, 2704 Elm Street, Dallas, TX 75226.
