The Dallas Symphony Orchestra performs the score and pop songs from Barbie The Movie, conducted by Sarah Hicks, as part of the Movies in Concert series.
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra is bringing Barbie The Movie: In Concert to the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center for a three-show run in May 2027. It's part of the DSO's Movies in Concert series, which means the full orchestra plays along with the film as it screens on the big screen. The production is produced and licensed by Overture Global Entertainment on behalf of Mattel, Inc. and Warner Bros. Pictures.
On stage, the orchestra will perform the movie's score and the pop songs from the soundtrack, conducted by Sarah Hicks. The film itself is the record-shattering, full-length feature, and since the DSO is playing live to the picture, you're hearing the music as it happens rather than as a recorded track. It's a full-length screening, so you'll be in your seat for the whole movie.
