Third edition of AfroFest Dallas, a day-long celebration of African and Afro culture with live music, DJs, an African market, food row and a children's educational village.
AfroFest Dallas returns to the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center on Saturday, October 17, 2026. This is the festival's third edition, and it's an eight-hour day dedicated to African and Caribbean culture, with live performances and DJs running throughout. The organizers describe it as a celebration of African and Afro cultures in the South, and it's an all-ages event, so it works as a family outing as much as a day out with friends.
Beyond the music, there's a BOMA Children's and Educational Village for younger crowds. It's not just a play area—kids can work with robots, take a virtual trip to learn about Africa, make art, and get lessons in different African languages. If you're more into the food and shopping side, there's an African Market and a Food Row to walk through. There's also The Connectors Area, which is set up for service-based small businesses to show what they do. And if you're feeling active, you can learn to dance to the drums and pick up some afrobeats steps.
