A festive, hands-on cooking class where you craft three gourmet cheese melts for the holiday season.
A Tasteful Place is hosting 3 Melts of Christmas on Saturday, November 21, from 10 AM to 12 PM. It's a hands-on cooking class where you'll make three gourmet cheese melts for the holiday season. You do the work yourself rather than just watching a demo, so you'll leave with a few new recipes to use when the hosting starts piling up in December.
If you've never been, A Tasteful Place is the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden's newest garden—a 3.5-acre potager garden, pavilion, and kitchen built around growing and eating fresh, sustainable, locally grown food. It's a productive garden that's also meant to be looked at, with a 3,600-square-foot Charlotte and Donald Test Pavilion and teaching kitchen, the more-than-an-acre Margaret and Jay Simmons Lagoon, the Ruthie Pack Tasting Plaza, and the Barbara and Bob Bigham Scenic Overlook looking out over downtown Dallas and White Rock Lake. The site draws on European gardening principles and won the Urban Land Institute North Texas Impact Awards' Public Places Award in October 2018; the Dallas Morning News once called it "The Most Beautiful Place in Dallas."
