The iconic musical theatre by Richard O'Brien returns to Short North Stage for its ninth year as the venue's beloved Halloween tradition, part of the 2026-27 season.
The Rocky Horror Show returns to Short North Stage on October 22, kicking off a two-week run that goes through October 31. It's a Halloween classic by Richard O'Brien, and this year it's part of the venue's 15th Anniversary Season (2026-27). The show runs for two hours.
If you've never seen it, the story follows Brad and Janet, who stumble upon a night of outrageous characters, scandalous experiments, and plenty of fishnet stockings. The music is a big part of the experience, with songs like "Sweet Transvestite" and "Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me" driving the whole thing forward. It's a book, music, and lyrics credit for Richard O'Brien, and this production is directed and choreographed by Edward Carignan. Nick Hardin returns as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, the character who holds the whole house together.
This isn't a one-off. It's back by special permission from the show's Broadway producers for its ninth year as the venue's Halloween tradition, and it's being billed as equal parts outrageous, immersive, and wildly entertaining. The production is described as the theatrical party of the season.
