A Tony Award-winning Korean-English musical rom-com that follows two androids whose chance encounter sparks a romance and an adventure about what it means to be human.
Maybe Happy Ending plays the Ohio Theatre from November 3 to 8, 2026. It's a Korean-English musical rom-com that premiered in Seoul in 2016 before making its Broadway debut at the Belasco Theatre. The story follows Oliver, a HelperBot nearing the end of his service, and his neighbor Claire; their chance encounter sparks a romance between two androids and an adventure that shows them what it means to be human, even if they aren't.
The production is directed by Michael Arden, with a book by Will Aronson and Hue Park. It swept six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Book, Best Direction, Best Original Score, Best Scenic Design, and Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role. It also took the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New Broadway Musical, the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical, and a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical. The New York Times called it "astonishing, joyful, heartbreaking, cutting-edge, and brilliantly executed," and Rex Reed of The Observer described it as "the best, most original, most beautiful musical in eons."
