Studios on High Gallery opens its annual holiday show, The Art of Gifting, on November 7, and it runs through December 30. It's the gallery's big end-of-year exhibition, and it's built around the work of the twenty Ohio artists who make up the collective. They work in oils, watercolors, mosaics, ceramics, jewelry, wearables and sculpture, and they often create right there in the studio.
The Art of Gifting brings together pieces from across that whole range. You'll find jewelry and oil paintings alongside wildlife sculpture, ceramics and mixed media collage. The show is presented as a source of one-of-a-kind holiday gifts, so it's a good place to look if you're after something you can't find in a store. Because the artists work in so many different media, the collection covers a lot of ground in one room.

Studios on High is part of the Short North Gallery Directory, a community of creators and collectors in Columbus's Short North Arts District. The gallery itself is at 686 N High Street, right in the middle of the district, so it's easy to pair a visit with a walk through the other galleries nearby. Admission is free, and the show stays open through the end of the year, from November 7 to December 30.
