Shawn James brings the Flew Too Close to the Sun Tour to The Bluestone on Sunday, October 18. He's a singer-songwriter and guitarist who performs with a full band, and the Columbus date is presented by PromoWest Productions. Opening the night is Gravedancer.
James has built a reputation for a wide vocal range and for talking with the crowd between songs. Reviewers have described him as an inspiring artist whose music spans acoustic, rock, and soul, and his setlists usually mix his own songs with a few covers. Among his originals, you'll likely hear 'Icarus', 'Orpheus', 'The Curse of the Fold', and 'The Devil's Daughters'. He also tends to work in songs like Bill Withers' 'Ain't No Sunshine' and Audioslave's 'Like a Stone'.
