Live show by Sammy Rae & The Friends, a collective of musicians blending classic rock, folk, funk, soul and jazz, at KEMBA Live!
Sammy Rae & The Friends bring their show, the GET DOWN!, to KEMBA Live! on Friday, March 5, 2027. The group is fronted by singer and songwriter Sammy Rae, and they're a collective of musicians and artists who describe themselves as a family first. Their sound pulls from classic rock, folk, funk, soul and jazz, a blend they've spent years touring.
Rae moved to New York City from Connecticut in her early twenties and built the band around friends, and they've kept that circle open by making the audience part of the family too. They've put out two EPs, The Good Life in 2018 and Let's Throw a Party in 2021, and their debut album, Something For Everybody, arrived in 2024. They've played the main stage at Bonnaroo, as well as Sound on Sound and All Things Go, and they're currently working on their next album.
