Gospel concert by Russ Taff, the Grammy and Dove Award-winning singer from Nashville, at the Southern Theatre.
Russ Taff plays the Southern Theatre on Friday, October 30, at 7 PM. He's a Nashville-based Gospel artist with a career that goes back more than four decades, and this is a solo bill β just him on the program.
If you're not familiar with the name, there's a lot of history behind it. He's a six-time Grammy and 18-time Dove Award winner, and he's been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame three separate times: once as a soloist, once as a member of The Imperials, and once as part of the Gaither Vocal Band. Billboard once called him "the single most electrifying voice in Christian music," and he's known for solo albums like Medals, Russ Taff, and The Way Home.
There's more to the story than the awards, too. In 2018, he released an autobiographical documentary, Russ-TaffβI Still Believe, which opened in more than 700 theaters and traced his journey of healing from addiction and childhood trauma. It's the kind of thing that puts the music in a different light, so it's worth keeping in mind if you're going in fresh.

He's still active, too. His latest album, Cover Story, came out on January 31, 2025, so there's new material in the mix. The show is at the Southern Theatre, 21 E Main St, Columbus, OH 43215, starting at 7 PM on Friday, October 30.
