Stand-up showcase of up-and-coming comedians at The Hashtag Comedy Club on North High Street.
The Hashtag Comedy Club hosts the Rising Stars Comedy Showcase on Friday, November 6, with eight comedians on the bill. The night is presented by ThaGawdShow, and it's built around the city's newer stand-up talent. The lineup includes Mitch Potterf, Lanell Jade, Ryan Chernick, Tess Trinoskey, Stephen Sponhour, Taylor Madison, Alex Goode, and Amanda Kern.
ThaGawdShow describes the showcase as a night of non-stop laughs that puts the freshest, sharpest up-and-coming comedic talent in Columbus on stage before they hit the big time, framed as support for the next generation of stand-up. The whole thing runs about an hour and fifteen minutes, so it's a relatively tight window for eight performers to cycle through. The club itself is at 1253 N. High St, and it's known as one of the city's top spots for live comedy, with a program that covers improv, stand-up, and sketch.
There's a bit of history behind the room, too. The Hashtag Comedy Company started more than 13 years ago with the Hashtag Comedy Improv Show, which still anchors the club, and it's been bringing comedy entertainment, education, and experiences to the heartland for over a decade. That improv root is still a big part of what they do alongside the stand-up.

The show starts at 9 PM, with doors opening at 8:45 PM. Tickets are $10 online and $15 at the door.
