Interactive Halloween night in which the band plays Mario Kart music live while the room plays the video game, with costumes encouraged.
Mario Kart Band is playing Rumba Cafe on Wednesday, October 28, for a Halloween show that's a bit different from your usual night out. The whole thing is presented by Celebrity Etc., and the hook is summed up in the event's tagline: "You play Mario Kart, we play the music LIVE!"
That's not just a catchy line—it's exactly how the night works. While the room plays Mario Kart, the band provides a live soundtrack to the races. Instead of the game's built-in music, you'll hear the songs played by musicians in the room, so the sound changes as the racing goes on. It's an interactive setup, and costumes are encouraged, which fits the Halloween timing.
If you're wondering where that puts you in the evening, you're not just watching a band on stage; you're part of the action. The racing and the music happen at the same time, and the costumes add to the whole scene. It's a night built around playing a game together with a live band backing it up.
