A live orchestra plays the soundtrack of the film Love Actually while the movie plays in its entirety on a full-size screen at the Palace Theatre.
Love Actually in Concert comes to the Palace Theatre on Sunday, November 22, 2026. The setup is straightforward: the whole movie plays on a full-size screen while a live orchestra performs the soundtrack right there in the room. It's presented by CAPA, the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts.
If you've seen the film, you know the music is a big part of it. The orchestra will be playing Craig Armstrong's score, along with the songs that stick in your head long after the credits roll—Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and "Love Is All Around" are two of them. The score itself was written by Armstrong, a Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Emmy winner who also did the music for Moulin Rouge!, Me Before You, and Elizabeth: The Golden Age.
For a refresher, Love Actually was written and directed by Richard Curtis and released in 2003. It follows ten interweaving stories of love around the Christmas season, with a cast that's hard to beat: Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Laura Linney, Bill Nighy, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley, Rowan Atkinson, and Martin Freeman. The film runs in its entirety, so you're seeing the whole thing from start to finish.
