Live music performance by Jordan Hope, Artist-in-Residence with FERMATA, for patients, caregivers, staff and visitors at The James Cancer Hospital.
Jordan Hope performs at The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute on Thursday, October 29, as part of the FERMATA program. It's a midday set, running from 12 PM to 1 PM, and it's open to patients, caregivers, staff, and visitors at The James.
Hope is an Artist-in-Residence with FERMATA, a School of Music program that brings live music into healthcare spaces across The Ohio State University system. Through the residency, she performs for patients, caregivers, staff, and visitors at The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. This particular date is one of several she has scheduled: she also plays on November 19 and December 3, both at 12 PM.
FERMATA doesn't stop at The James. In partnership with Peggy Kohler and the Heather Pick Music Program, it extends to other OSU medical facilities, including OSUCCC — The James ambulatory sites, OSU East, OSU Brain and Spine, the Gynecological Oncology Clinic at Mill Run, Martha Morehouse Medical Plaza, and the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Brain Center. The program uses music to create moments of comfort, connection, and joy in clinical environments, and the performances are for the benefit of patients, caregivers, staff, and visitors at the hospital.
