Upbeat dinner theatre of sketch comedy and holiday music, Shadowbox Live's long-running non-traditional holiday tradition.
Holiday Hoopla returns to Shadowbox Live on November 19, running through December 26. It's the venue's most popular show, billed as Columbus' favorite non-traditional holiday tradition, and it's been around for more than 35 years. The evening is an upbeat, irreverent mix of sketch comedy and lively holiday music that celebrates the hustle, bustle, and fun of the season.
Shadowbox Live itself is the nation's largest resident theatre ensemble, based in the Brewery District. They produce their own genre-shifting 'SBX Live' brand, which blends comedy, music tributes, musicals, dance-theatre, and metamedia. The company's signature is that the same performers who create and curate the show also serve as the servers for the full-service bar and dinner menu. The production runs as a dinner-theatre experience with one intermission.
