Haunted history tour of the Ohio Statehouse, where visitors see Lincoln's ghost among historical exhibits, appropriate for all ages.
The Ohio Statehouse is opening its doors for the Haunted Ohio Statehouse Tours this October, with Landoll's Mohican Castle leading the way. The tours run across four dates: Friday, October 16; Saturday, October 17; Friday, October 23; and Saturday, October 24. On each of those nights, tours depart every half hour between 7 PM and 9 PM, so you can pick a time that fits your evening rather than working around a single start.
The walk takes you through the darkened chambers and halls of the statehouse, where the lights are dimmed and the usual daytime bustle is gone. Along the way, you'll see Lincoln's ghost among a host of historical exhibits, and the guides from Mohican Castle keep the stories moving as you go. It's a ghost walk and a history tour in one, so you get the spooky side of the building without losing the actual history behind it. One thing that's worth mentioning: the walk is appropriate for children of all ages, which makes it an easy one to bring the whole family along for if you've got kids.
