Tenth edition of the horror comedy show 'The Sick World of Doctor Show', with three horror hosts mixing sketch, video and characters.
The Sick World of Doctor Show is back at The Hashtag Comedy Co. on Sunday, October 25, with Halloween with Doctor Show X. It's the tenth edition of the horror comedy show, and they're billing it as a decade's worth of horror comedy unleashed in one night. Three horror hosts run the room, which they've renamed 'SLASHTAG Comedy' for the occasion.
The show mixes sketch, video, and characters, and the hosts describe the whole thing as the answer to 'What if you mixed Pee-Wee's Playhouse with Elvira?'. If that gives you a sense of the vibe, you're pretty close: it's a horror-themed variety show that leans into the campy, theatrical side of comedy rather than just a string of jokes. Savage Tech is presenting this one, and it's part of AKA DOCSHOWBER WEEKEND, which also includes a late-night session on Saturday night.
The Hashtag Comedy Co. is at 1253 N High Street in Columbus, and they're known as one of the city's top spots for live comedy, with a regular program of improv, standup, and sketch. This particular show is a bit different from the usual standup set—it's a full-on production with a cast and a theme. If you've been following the series, this is the tenth time they've brought it back, so it's a milestone edition.
