Unstructured, self-guided painting session at Pinot's Palette Short North with craft beverages, music and a DIY soy candle add-on.
Pinot's Palette is hosting a DIY Pop in and Paint session on Friday, December 18, from 2 PM to 5 PM at their Short North studio. It's a self-guided painting experience, so you're not following along with a teacher at the front of the room. Instead, you can work on your own at your own pace, either with friends or by yourself, without the pressure of a guided class.
There are a couple of ways to handle the painting part. You can follow written step-by-step instructions on a canvas, or you can bring your own idea and just go for it. There's no rule that you have to follow the steps, so if you'd rather wing it, you can. While you paint, the studio keeps things lively with craft beverages and upbeat music. If you want to add something extra, there's a DIY soy candle add-on: you pour your own all-natural candle, which cures while you paint, so you leave with both your artwork and a custom hand-poured candle.
Every Pinot's Palette is owned and operated by local small-business owners, and the Short North studio is right in the heart of the Short North Arts District on N High between Russell and Buttles. Street parking is available, and the Joseph, Hub, and E Goodale garages are all within a three-to-five-minute walk. There's no age restriction, though children under 13 need to be accompanied by an adult.
