Disney's North American touring production of the musical Beauty and the Beast, with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice, at the Ohio Theatre.
Disney's Beauty and the Beast comes to the Ohio Theatre from January 30 to February 7, 2027. It's the first North American tour of the musical in more than 25 years, and it's built on the 1991 Academy Award-winning animated film. The show itself premiered on Broadway in 1994 and has stayed one of the longest-running and highest-grossing shows in the industry's history, earning nine Tony nominations and a win for Best Costume Design. The 2017 live-action film went on to gross over $1 billion worldwide.
This production brings back members of the original creative team. Composer Alan Menken, lyricist Tim Rice, and book writer Linda Woolverton are all returning, and the show keeps the Oscar-winning score that made "Be Our Guest" and "Beauty and the Beast" classics. Along with those, you'll hear stage originals "If I Can't Love Her" and "A Change In Me." Jim Steinmeyer is back as illusion designer, the same role he held on the original 1994 production.
