Death Cab for Cutie plays the Mershon Auditorium in Columbus with support from Swapmeet on its I Built You A Tower Tour.
Death Cab for Cutie play Mershon Auditorium on Monday, March 29, 2027, as part of their I Built You A Tower tour. They're the headliner, and Swapmeet opens for them.
The tour takes its name from the band's eleventh studio album, I Built You A Tower. Lead vocalist and guitarist Ben Gibbard said the record was put together in just three weeks and grew out of pressures in his professional and personal life. If you've been following them, that's the new material they'll be working from on this run.
Death Cab for Cutie are an eight-time Grammy nominee from the Pacific Northwest, and they've built their following since the late 1990s with songs like "I Will Follow You into the Dark" and "Soul Meets Body." They've also made a habit of marking the 20th anniversaries of their most influential albums—Transatlanticism and Plans among them—with massive sold-out tours, so they're a band that looks back at its own catalog as much as it looks forward.
