Dave Koz leads his 29th Christmas tour with Jonathan Butler, Haley Reinhart, Dylan Chambers and Erin Stevenson at the Palace Theatre.
Dave Koz brings his Christmas tour to the Palace Theatre on Monday, December 14, at 7 PM. This is the 29th year of the tour, which Koz describes as the longest-running jazz-based Christmas tour. The Columbus date is presented by CAPA, the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts.
Koz is an American saxophonist, composer, and radio host who has spent decades at the forefront of smooth jazz. Born in 1963 in Encino, California, he picked up the saxophone as a youth and rose to prominence in the late 1980s touring with Bobby Caldwell and Richard Marx. His solo career took off with his 1990 debut album, followed by numerous chart-topping records, Grammy nominations, and collaborations with Celine Dion, Stevie Nicks, and Barry Manilow. Beyond recording, he hosts a syndicated radio show and the annual 'Dave Koz & Friends At Sea' cruises.
For this tour, he's bringing a full lineup with him. Joining him on stage are South African guitarist and singer Jonathan Butler, vocalist Haley Reinhart, singer-songwriter and guitarist Dylan Chambers, and vocalist Erin Stevenson. The set pairs holiday classics with Chanukah songs and hits from each artist's own catalogue, so you'll hear the seasonal standards alongside the songs they're known for individually.
