Concert by the Columbus International Children's Choir, the award-winning children's choir founded in 1999 and led by Tatiana Kats.
The Columbus International Children's Choir is performing at Saint Mary Church on Sunday, May 2, 2027, from 4 PM to 5 PM. The program is a choral concert with repertoire sung in several languages, so you'll hear them moving between different tongues throughout the hour.
Founded in 1999 and led by artistic director Tatiana Kats, the choir is dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of music in young people through choral singing. They're an award-winning ensemble that has taken top prizes at national and international competitions, including a gold medal at the 10th World Choir Games in Tshwane, South Africa, and third place in the youth choirs division of The American Prize.
Their performance history reads like a travelogue. They've sung at the White House, where they performed for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in December 2015, as well as Carnegie Hall, St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, and the Great Wall of China. They've also toured Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Greece, New Zealand, South Africa, and Australia. The choir is demographically diverse, drawing students from many countries, and they put on annual concerts and the Central Ohio Singing Competition.
