Professional ice hockey match between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Toronto Maple Leafs at Nationwide Arena.
The Columbus Blue Jackets take on the Toronto Maple Leafs at Nationwide Arena on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. It's a regular-season matchup between two teams from different conferences, and since it's a Tuesday night, it's one of those mid-week games that doesn't require a whole weekend's planning to fit in.
On the ice, it's the Blue Jackets hosting the Maple Leafs. The Jackets are the home team here, and the game is being played at their home rink in downtown Columbus. The puck drops at 7 PM, so if you're coming from work, you've got a few hours to get settled before the first period gets underway. It's a standard hockey game—two teams, three periods, and the usual battle for two points in the standings.
For anyone who doesn't follow the league closely, the Blue Jackets are our home team, and the Maple Leafs are one of the oldest and most well-known franchises in the NHL, based up in Toronto. When they come to town, it brings a bit of that cross-border rivalry to the arena, even if it's just a single game in the middle of the season. If you're a Jackets fan, it's a chance to see them defend home ice against a team from the North.
