Concert by the Columbus Academy upper school choir and orchestra, led by directors Nathan Greenwood and Ryan Jenkins, within the Music at St. Mary series.
Columbus Academy brings its upper school choir and orchestra to St. Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 17, 2027. It's a combined performance, so you'll hear the choir and the orchestra together rather than as separate acts. The orchestra is led by director Nathan Greenwood and the choir by director Ryan Jenkins, and they're both on the program.
The concert is part of Music at St. Mary, a series the church runs in German Village. The series is built around bringing music and spirituality together with the aim of inspiring and uplifting the community, and the church itself serves as the backdrop for many of its events. It's also the same venue that hosts the German Village Lights Festival, so it's a spot that's well-known in the neighborhood for more than just its Sunday services.
Since it's the upper school students performing, this is a chance to hear the older students from Columbus Academy take the stage. The choir and orchestra are two separate ensembles that come together for this one, and having both on the program means the evening will lean on both voices and instruments. It's a student concert, so you'll be seeing the work of the academy's music program in a live setting rather than in a classroom.
