A candlelit concert of Christmas classics and carols performed by the string quartet Listeso in the Canzani Auditorium.
Candlelight: Christmas Classics comes to the Canzani Auditorium on Saturday, December 19, with the String Quartet - Listeso on the program. It's part of the Candlelight series from Fever, which pairs a string quartet with a venue filled with hundreds of candles and fairy lights, turning a concert into a multi-sensory experience. Each show in the series is built around a different theme or repertoire—Christmas classics and carols are just one of them, alongside tributes to Taylor Swift, Queen, ABBA, Dolly Parton and Michael Jackson, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, and even a Halloween edition, with the series staged in cities across the country.
This particular evening focuses on the holiday classics, performed by the Listeso string quartet. The music is the center of the night, but the lighting is what sets it apart from a standard recital. The room is filled with candles and fairy lights, so the atmosphere is as much a part of the experience as the music itself.
The Canzani Auditorium is the home for the performance, a room with a capacity of up to 400 inside the Joseph V. Canzani Center on the Columbus College of Art & Design campus. Completed in 1991, it's a contemporary, intimate setting in the heart of the city's arts district.
