A 60-minute candlelight concert in which a string quartet plays classic Christmas carols amid hundreds of candles and fairy lights.
Listeso String Quartet takes the stage at Short North Church on Thursday, December 17, for Christmas Carols on Strings, a 60-minute candlelight concert. It's part of the Candlelight series from Fever, which pairs a live string ensemble with hundreds of candles in a flickering, candlelit setting. For this holiday edition, the quartet takes over favorite Christmas carols, and the venue is filled with fairy lights.
The music is the focus here: a string quartet playing through a set of classic carols. The whole thing runs an hour, and the candlelight is as much a part of the experience as the quartet itself. It's the same format Fever uses across its other Candlelight shows, just turned toward the holiday season.
