A candlelit concert by the Listeso String Quartet reimagining 90s hip-hop classics, from The Fugees to Outkast.
Listeso String Quartet is bringing a tribute to 90s hip-hop to the Canzani Auditorium on Saturday, November 14, 2026. It's part of the Candlelight concert series, which does exactly what the name says: a string quartet playing in a room lit only by candles. This one focuses on the golden age of 90s hip-hop, so you'll hear those beats reimagined for strings rather than a DJ and a mic.
The tentative program covers a lot of ground. You'll recognize the Fugees' "Ready or Not," Outkast's "Rosa Parks," and Nas's "N.Y. State of Mind." It pulls from the West Coast too, with 2Pac's "Dear Mama," The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Big Poppa," and a double dose of Snoop Dogg: "Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang" with Dr. Dre and "Gin and Juice." Mixed in are A Tribe Called Quest's "Can I Kick It?," Wu-Tang Clan's "Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthing ta F' Wit'," and UGK and Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin'." There's even "Misdemeanor" by Foster Sylvers on the list. It's a tribute experience, not affiliated with the original artists or their estates.
The venue is the Canzani Auditorium, on the Columbus College of Art & Design campus in the city's arts district. It opened in 1991 and holds up to 400 people, which keeps the room intimate for a live show. The concert runs 60 minutes, and doors open 45 minutes before the start. Seats are assigned on arrival within each zone, so you'll find your spot once you're inside.
