Free business expo by Think Veterans First to support veterans and military families, marking the start of Buy Veteran Week.
Think Veterans First is bringing the BUYVET Business Expo to the Columbus Convention Center on Friday, October 23, from 1 PM to 4 PM. It's a business expo centered on veteran-owned businesses, and it's free to attend thanks to sponsors.
The expo is part of a larger push by Think Veterans First to frame November as a month dedicated to supporting veterans and military families. It doesn't stand alone; it's the first of several veteran-focused initiatives they have lined up over the coming weeks. Following the expo, they're running Buy Veteran Week from November 1 to 8, and then National Veterans Small Business Week from November 9 to 13. Veterans Day falls right in the middle of that second stretch on November 11, and the whole sequence leads up to Small Business Saturday on November 28.

If you're into the business side of things, the expo is a good place to start. It's a few hours on a Friday afternoon in the middle of downtown, and since it's free, it's an easy one to drop into. The whole thing runs from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Columbus Convention Center.
