Banana Ball, the baseball-themed entertainment show, comes to Huntington Park with The Party Animals facing the Texas Tailgaters, with tickets via lottery.
Banana Ball is coming back to Huntington Park on August 6 and 7, 2027, with The Party Animals taking on the Texas Tailgaters over two nights. If you've never heard of it, Banana Ball is a baseball-themed entertainment extravaganza that's built more around the spectacle than the box score. It's the kind of thing that's hard to pin down as just a gameโit's as much about the antics as the athletics.
The Party Animals are a Banana Ball Champion League team, and they're known just as much for their high-energy tomfoolery as for their actual play. They're the main rivals and comedic counterparts to the Savannah Bananas, a bit like the Harlem Globetrotters and the Washington Generals. The Animals aren't strangers to downtown Columbus, either: they played a three-game series at Huntington Park against the Bananas back in 2024, drawing more than 10,000 spectators and coming out on top in those sold-out games. This time around, the matchup is against the Texas Tailgaters, and the Columbus stop is reported to be coming via ESPN2.

Getting in is the part you'll want to keep on your radar. Tickets aren't sold outright; they're distributed through a lottery. You put your name on the list, and a random drawing decides who gets a spotโthere's no guarantee of a ticket even if you enter. The list closes on October 31, 2026, so you'll want to get your name in well before then if you're planning to be there. Two nights, August 6 and 7, 2027, at Huntington Park.
