Woodford Apartments TreeDay

TreesCharlotte is hosting a community tree planting day at Woodford Apartments on Friday, March 5, 2027. It's a morning spent getting new trees into the ground right in the neighborhood, and it's open to all ages, so it's as much for kids as it is for adults.

The whole thing runs from 10 AM to 12 PM, a two-hour window that doesn't take over your entire day. If you've never planted a tree before, that's fine—these events are designed for people to jump in and help out, and since it's open to all ages, it's a good way to get the younger ones involved in something tangible. You'll be working alongside other neighbors, and by the time you're done, there will be a few more trees in the ground at Woodford Apartments than there were when you started.

One thing to keep in mind is that registration opens in February. If you're planning to come, you'll want to sign up then to make sure you've got a spot. It's a community effort, and having a head count helps them get the tools and trees ready for the morning.

So, if you're looking for a low-stakes way to do something good for the neighborhood, this is a solid choice. It's a couple of hours on a Friday morning at Woodford Apartments in Charlotte, with registration opening in February. The planting itself happens March 5, from 10 AM to 12 PM.
