A family- and pet-friendly festival featuring local beer, food, and vendors showcasing folk magic, hoodoo, heathenism, root work, paganism and more.
WitchFest comes to the Triple C Brewing Co. Taproom on Sunday, October 18, from 12 to 5 PM. It's a free event, so you can drop in whenever you're around the South End that afternoon.
Triple C is at 2900 Griffith Street, and the taproom is the spot for this one. If you've spent any time in the neighborhood, you probably know the place—they keep a steady rotation of events going, and this is one of them. It's family-friendly and pet-friendly, so you can bring the kids and the dog along without having to find a sitter first.
While you're there, you'll find local beer on tap and food to go with it. The main draw, though, is the vendors. They'll be showcasing folk magic, hoodoo, heathenism, root work, paganism, and more—a wide spread of traditions and practices under one roof. It's the kind of afternoon where you can wander from table to table and pick up things you might not run across in your usual weekend rounds.

Triple C does a fair amount of this sort of thing. They host regular events in the taproom and over in the Barrel Room across the street at 2832 Griffith Street. Among their recurring offerings are 'Dance With Me' line-dancing lessons on Mondays from 6 to 10 PM for $5—no experience needed—and free live-music nights. WitchFest fits right into that mix: a free, open-house afternoon in the South End. It runs from 12 to 5 PM on Sunday, October 18, at 2900 Griffith Street.
