A cinematic live-to-film event where a twelve-piece ensemble performs the iconic Twilight film score live while the movie plays on a full-size cinema screen.
Twilight in Concert comes to the Belk Theater at Blumenthal Arts Center on Sunday, February 7, 2027, at 7 PM. It's a live-to-film event that brings the 2008 Twilight movie to life with a live orchestra playing along. The film runs on a full-size cinema screen, and the score is performed in real time by a twelve-piece ensemble of rock and orchestral musicians. The stage is lit by more than a thousand twinkling candles, so you're watching the movie with the musicians playing right in front of you.
The whole show is built around the saga's soundtrack, from the quiet of "Bella's Lullaby" to the louder battle scenes. Because it's a live-to-film format, the music is timed to the action on screen, so the score changes as the movie unfolds. Blumenthal Arts is presenting this as part of the production's North Carolina tour, and it's the first Twilight movie being played this way.
