Grammy Award-winning bluegrass and Americana quintet The Infamous Stringdusters perform live at the Neighborhood Theatre, with support from Broken Compass.
The Infamous Stringdusters play the Neighborhood Theatre Main Room on Thursday, October 15, with Broken Compass opening. The show starts at 8 PM.
If you're not familiar with them, the Stringdusters are a GRAMMY Award-winning Americana quintet from Denver, Colorado, and their sound is rooted in bluegrass. The lineup is Andy Falco on guitar, Chris Pandolfi on banjo, Andy Hall on dobro, Jeremy Garrett on fiddle, and Travis Book on double bass. They've headlined Red Rocks Amphitheatre and shared the stage with Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, so they're well-versed in playing for larger crowds.
They run their own independent label, Americana Vibes, which put out the compilation Songs from the River. The 2017 GRAMMY for Best Bluegrass Album went to Laws of Gravity, and that record is a good place to start if you want to hear where they're coming from. With five members on acoustic instruments—guitar, banjo, dobro, fiddle, and double bass—the sound is built around those bluegrass staples, and the GRAMMY for Laws of Gravity puts them in the bluegrass category.
