Eddie and The Getaway (The Over-Caffeinated & Under-Stimulated Tour)

Eddie and The Getaway play the Neighborhood Theatre on Thursday, December 3, as part of their The Over-Caffeinated & Under-Stimulated Tour. They're coming in from Tempe, Arizona, so this is one of their stops on a run that takes them well outside their home territory.

If you're not familiar with them, they describe their sound as Middle Finger Country Music. It's a bit of a provocation of a name, and it fits the way they pull from a few different places at once: rock, country, and pop all sitting in the same set. That mix is exactly what the tour title points toward—the caffeinated side of the rock and the under-stimulated side of the country, both running through the same show. It's not a strictly country night, and it's not a straight-ahead rock show, so it's the kind of thing that works if you like your music to shift gears rather than stay in one lane.

The tour is called The Over-Caffeinated & Under-Stimulated Tour, and that's what they're bringing to Charlotte. The band hails from Tempe, Arizona, and their sound spans rock, country, and pop. They're touring under that title, and the set will be built around the material they're taking on the road this year.

The show is at the Neighborhood Theatre Tap Room, 511 E 36th St, Charlotte, NC 28205, on Thursday, December 3, starting at 8 PM.
