Concert by The Army, The Navy on their The Fake Brave Tour 2026, with opener Ella Woolsey.
The Army, The Navy play the Neighborhood Theatre Tap Room on Tuesday, November 3, as part of their Fake Brave Tour 2026. Opening the night is Ella Woolsey.
The duo is Maia Ciambriello and Sasha Goldberg. They met as undergraduates in New Orleans studying songwriting and now live together in Los Angeles, where they still gather verses in a notebook they call "the Bible." They hail from the foothills of Mount Tamalpais in the San Francisco Bay area.
Their debut album, Fake Brave Life, follows two 2024 EPs, Fruit for Flies and Sugar for Bugs. They recorded it in Athens, Georgia, and New York City with producers Drew Vandenberg and Mikey Freedom Hart. The record features the call-and-response "Walls," the breakup anthem "2 Collide," and the string-powered "Stars Stay Awake."

The pair first built a following in 2023 when their single "Vienna" caught fire online. That momentum led them to open for artists like Dora Jar, Paris Paloma, and Matt Maltese, and to sell out most of their 2024 headlining Gentle Hellraiser tour. This stop in Charlotte is part of the tour supporting the new album.
Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM. The night is 18+ with a valid ID required, though under-18s can attend with a parent.
