Indie folk band The 502s perform live at Neighborhood Theatre, an 18+ event requiring valid ID.
The 502s play Neighborhood Theatre on Sunday, October 11. They're an Orlando five-piece that's earned a reputation for high-energy live shows and a sound they describe as beach-folk. If you've come across them before, it might have been through TikTok, where a video of their song "Magdalene" racked up over a million views.
Much of the set will likely pull from Easy Street, the 13-song concept album they released in 2025. The whole record is set in the bliss of a beach town, and "Your Nonsense Makes Sense" is one of its more upbeat, feel-good tracks. It's the kind of material that fits their live reputation: boisterous Americana built on singalong vocals, bubbly trumpet lines, melodic call-and-response choruses, and roots-music instrumentation. They've been called "the happiest band on Earth," and that's a fair summary of the mood they bring to the stage.
This stop comes after a busy run. They spent 2025 on a North American headline tour and a string of festivals, and they're heading back to Europe in early 2026 with the Nonsense All Night tour running through the summer. The Charlotte date is one of the few times they'll be playing here this year.
