Official live concert experience of the Outlander series, featuring Bear McCreary's score performed by an orchestra with scenes from the show on a cinema-sized screen.
Outlander in Concert comes to the Belk Theater at Blumenthal Arts Center on Monday, October 19, at 7:30 PM. It's the officially licensed live concert experience of the global phenomenon Outlander, and the whole thing is built around the music. The show's score takes center stage, performed live by an orchestra while some of the series' most stirring moments unfold on a cinema-sized screen. If you've spent years with the show, you'll recognize the themes and the way they've shaped the story; hearing them played live in a theater is a different thing entirely.
The concert was created in collaboration with showrunner Matthew B. Roberts and the series' original Emmy Award-winning composer, Bear McCreary. It premiered in Scotland, where it was billed as Echoes of The Highlands, and it's officially licensed by Sony Pictures Television and made in collaboration with broadcaster Starz. The timing is part of the point: the concert was conceived as the show reaches its conclusion in 2026, so it's as much a send-off as it is a celebration. Blumenthal Arts is presenting it here in Charlotte.
