Open mic night for songwriters and performers at Heist Brewery, hosted by Jared Evans.
Heist Brewery hosts its open mic night on Tuesday, October 6, at its NoDa location. It's a night for songwriters and performers to get on stage, and it runs every Tuesday, so if you miss this one, there's another coming the following week. Jared Evans hosts the evening.
If you're planning to play, you'll want to get there early. Sign-ups run from 6:30 to 7:00 PM, and the performances follow from 7:00 to 9:30 PM. Since it's a sign-up format, the order is decided by when you put your name down, so arriving closer to 6:30 is your best bet if you want an earlier slot. The window is open for a full two and a half hours of music, which leaves plenty of room for a good number of performers to get their time on stage.

If you're just coming to listen, you can show up whenever you like and catch the set in progress. The night is free, and the brewery is located at 2909 North Davidson Street in NoDa, so you can grab a beer and settle in for the evening. Between the sign-up window and the performances, the whole thing runs from 6:30 to 9:30 PM.
