Free Halloween event with a costume parade, DJ, games, and a lawn screening of The Addams Family.
Rea Farms is hosting Mischief and a Movie: The Addams Family on Saturday, October 17, from 4 to 9 PM. It's a free Halloween event, and the main feature is a lawn screening of the 2019 The Addams Family movie. The whole afternoon is built around the costume, so if you're planning to dress up, you'll want to be there well before the movie starts.
The day runs on a pretty specific schedule. At 5:30 PM, everyone lines up on the lawn to show off their best costumes, and the Costume Parade kicks off at 5:45 PM. From 6 to 7 PM, you can visit the participating retailers around the property for candy and goodies. The movie itself starts at 7 PM.
Between the parade and the film, there's plenty to do on the lawn. A DJ will be playing music and running games, and there are roaming characters moving through the crowd. For the kids, there's a glitter tattoo station, a coloring wall, a photo wall, and balloon twisters. If you're going with a family, those activities can easily fill the gap between the parade and the movie.
