A Christmas Carol returns to the Booth Playhouse, directed by Lisa Morman Patterson, with a special appearance by Kaiya Hamilton.
A Christmas Carol returns to the Booth Playhouse on Saturday, November 28, presented by Lisa Morman-Patterson. It's the Dickens story we all know — the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, the ghosts that visit him on Christmas Eve, and the slow change of heart that follows — brought back to the stage in Charlotte.
Lisa Morman-Patterson is directing this production, and there's a special appearance by Kaiya Hamilton. If you're already familiar with the story, you know the beats: the three spirits, the lessons about greed and generosity, and the morning after. Seeing it live in a theater is a different thing than reading it or watching a movie, and this is one of those productions that brings the whole thing back to the stage for the holiday season.
The Booth Playhouse is part of the Blumenthal Arts Center, located at 130 North Tryon Street in downtown Charlotte. It's a central spot, easy to get to if you're coming from anywhere in the city. The show runs on November 28, so it's a Saturday night out in the city, well before the December rush kicks in. If you've been looking for a way to get into the holiday spirit a bit early, this is a good place to start.
