Country and folk concert by Joe Jordan presenting his debut album The Heart Sessions.
Joe Jordan plays The Evening Muse on Saturday, November 7, with the show starting at 7:30 PM. He's coming through Charlotte to present The Heart Sessions, his debut album, and the set is built around it.
Jordan works in country and folk, and the storytelling is a big part of what he does. He writes songs that build narratives, and that's exactly the kind of thing that works well in a room like The Evening Muse. It's a smaller space on North Davidson Street, and it's the kind of room where you can get close to the stage and hear the lyrics clearly. It's also a spot that usually draws a crowd interested in singer-songwriter performances, so it's a natural fit for a debut album focused on storytelling.
Since The Heart Sessions is his first record, this is one of the first chances to hear these songs live. The set will center on the new material, and with the storytelling bent he's known for, the lyrics should be front and center. If you've been following his work, this is the first time the full album is being presented on stage.
