SUSTO (Solo)

Justin Osborne is playing a solo show at The Evening Muse on Saturday, December 12, 2026. You probably know him as the founder and frontman of SUSTO, the band he started back in 2013 while living in Havana, Cuba. Since then he's built up a catalog rooted in personal lyricism, with a sound that pulls from Southern Gothic, folk, rock, country and psychedelia. He leads both the roots-oriented Susto Stringband and his solo performances, and the songwriting is the throughline between them: confessional, searching and shaped by love, loss, change, resilience and the strange beauty of everyday life.

This solo show brings those songs back to their foundation, putting Osborne's voice, lyrics and storytelling front and center. It's a stripped-back way to hear the material he's been writing for over a decade, without the full band around him.

The night is presented by The Evening Muse, located at 3227 N. Davidson Street in Charlotte. It's an all-ages show, so under-18s need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. There's also a $5 surcharge at the door for anyone under 21. The show starts at 7 PM, with doors opening at 6:30 PM.
