Live rock performance by the band RevelWood Mission, led by singer Hank Sinatra, at The Evening Muse.
Hank Sinatra is playing The Evening Muse on Friday, October 16, with RevelWood Mission. It's a Charlotte date for a band that's spent a good part of its life on the road, and the lineup is a reunion of sorts.
Hank Sinatra has been around in one form or another since 2005. For years, the band toured with different lineups in several of the country's major markets — an LA version, a Nashville crew, and players in Austin, New York City, and even Dublin. After a long stretch of late nights and cheap hotel rooms, they went on an indefinite hiatus in 2019. The break lasted until November 2023, when Rick Johnson, a good friend and former Ramones tour wrangler, talked lead singer Jeff 'Jeffro' Holshouser out of retirement to perform with Lenny Kaye and Friends at the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, North Carolina. That was one of Kaye's Nuggets Compilation 50th Anniversary shows, and it served as the shot in the arm the band needed to get moving again.
From there, Holshouser reached out to lead guitarist and longtime collaborator Sam Madison. Johnson suggested they bring in drummer Scott Carle, who's played with Dillon Fence and Collapsis, and Carle brought bassist Eric Lee along with him. That's the group that'll be on stage at the Muse.
